Heart of Darkness (Black Rye IPA)
Dan is a very creative brewer and he came to me last year wanting to brew a dark IPA. We bounced around some ideas - he really liked Bell's Two Hearted Ale. This beer was the result. We basically took a Two Hearted Ale recipe, added some roasted and dark caramel malts, swapped some of the base malt for rye, and boom. One of the best black IPAs I've ever had!
Recommended yeast: Wyeast 1056 American Ale or Safale US-05 dry yeast
