November Update
Well, here we are, still wearing masks but we're here! And the storefront continues to be open and operate normally. Cases across the country continue to spike and I've heard my customers' stories about friends and family who have been hospitalized and, in some cases, passed away from the novel coronavirus so please continue to take it seriously. Everyone is tired of the precautions and that makes this time even more dangerous than back in the spring when we started. European countries who successfully managed their situation back in the spring and early summer are taking another hit and our response here has been less focused which makes the worsening situation that much more worrying. Thank you for your continued business and support and let's keep doing what we need to do to keep each other and our loved ones healthy. Wear a face covering, wash your hands frequently, use hand sanitizer, use sanitizing wipes on frequently touched surfaces, and don't engage unnecessarily with crowds. It's not going to be a normal holiday season but that's okay; we can still do things to create meaning and connect in whatever ways possible with our friends and families.
At this time I don't have immediate plans to expand operating hours into Sundays again.
If you prefer curbside delivery please phone your order in or let me know what I can do to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
September Update
The storefront remains open for foot traffic and in-person shopping! Like the rest of Tarrant County, a face covering is required. Store hours remain 10-7 Tuesday through Friday, 9-5 Saturday, and closed on Sunday-Monday. As the only HBS in the area with an open storefront, the pressure to add hours for Sunday just isn't there until something else changes or we get closer the holiday season. Thank you for your continued support! I hope you and your family are well and I'll see you soon.
Update June 1
The month of May seemed to go smoothly so, for June, in-person shopping will continue with a limit of one or two persons at a time allowed in the shop. This greatly facilitates the quick retail purchase and services like filling a CO2 bottle! Face coverings are not required but are appreciated. You may, of course, continue to shop by phone and pick up your order or have it brought to your car if that is your preference. Online shopping is also an option but the only "shipping" option for now continues to be will-call or in-person pick up unless you call and we arrange for additional shipping. If you have any concerns about being able to shop, I will make any reasonable accommodation that pleases you.
Store hours and days of operation will be back to normal with the exception of Sunday when the shop will continue to be closed for the summer months.
OPEN for individual shoppers on Friday, May 1
Why not just open and get "back to normal?"
The Tarrant County health department currently categorizes the community spread risk of coronavirus as "substantial" and case numbers are still increasing. Until that goes down to a level that I'm comfortable with, access to the storefront will be limited. I encourage everyone to continue using phone and online ordering to the extent possible. If you shop here you know that BrewHound is just me. If I get sick and can't be here it might be an inconvenience for you but it would be very very bad for me and my family.
In business, we mitigate risk as much as possible and that's exactly what this is about.
Please be safe, take care of yourselves, and wear a mask or bandanna if you're going to be in a public place.
Thank you!
