Old Ale, in spite of its name, doesn't require extensive aging. Not when you've got treacle (no, not molasses) as your secret weapon! This is a big, robust beer but not all old ales are so strong. It's a pretty big category that ends up encompassing the stronger ales of "old" Britain.
